Feliz Navidad - Happy Christmas

Pues felices fiestas a todos. Es nochebuena. It's Christmas Eve.

Hoy en España celebramos una cena con todo la familia. But in England the real festivity is Christmas Day. The traditional celebration meal is a Christmas lunch complete with Roast Turkey, stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Brussel Sprouts, Roast Potatoes, Roast Parsnips and lashings of gravy.

To be followed by the rich and heavy Christmas Pudding that is presented aflame with Brandy and lashings of cream and-or custard.

It´s a day when most people eat far too much, drink far too much and siesta too much as well.

The Queen´s speech is on the televison at 3pm and many people have their lunch before this and then sit down to watch the speech together. Although in reality many take this opportunity to have a nap!
